“The Story of Human Rights”

HAITI, 2010

We gon pick it up even though we still struggling
Au nom de la survie (In the name of survival)
and we wondering
Battant pour nos vie (Fighting for our lives)

How come when the media stops covering
and there’s little help from the government
we forget about the people still struggling

“Crossing”
Just finished watching this movie.  Movies inspire me to blog… =)

As we near the mid of our second semester…there’s an overwhelming sensation of restlessness and a slight version of hopelessness.  Don’t be alarmed, this hopelessness is not meant to give off the impression of surrender, but the hopelessness that makes my heart grow fonder and a will that grows stronger to fight - as cheesy as that may sound.

The consensus seems to be a strange struggle between the desire for strong academic outcomes but also the restlessness of the classroom and desire for field work.  This program has met so many of my expectations but now I am more confused and even more nervous about the MANY MANY decisions that will have to be made in the very near future - when do we get to stop making so many decisions?  (gosh…first world problems…)

Crossings is a film based on a true story of a man’s journey from North Korea to South Korea.  Ladies and gents, it’s a tear-jerker, blanket hugging, need a paper bag to breathe kinda movie.  So for the weak-hearted…I do not recommend- haha just joking.

Friends, please become educated on the situation in the North.  A newly made acquaintance of mine, who had the opportunity to visit North Korea not too long ago described it as “the worst place to live in the world.”

Are you intrigued yet to watch? ^^
I’ve often been told I’m a great seller!

But honestly, my head hurts from the tears that so eloquently danced down my face T.T
